Staffing Update:
Dr Kyrris will be on sabbatical leave from 1st April 2023 for a year. Dr Line and Dr Gray will cover as clinical leads for the practice during this time.
Sadly, Alison Phillips the Practice Manager is also leaving at the end of the month so we are currently recruiting for a Practice Manager.
We are happy to announce that we have a new Practice Nurse, Isobel, that started with the practice on Monday and currently in her induction period. She will work on a Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
A new GP, Dr Singh, will be starting with us in April, she had previously completed some locum work with us, so we are looking forward to welcoming her into the team permanently.
Face masks:
Wearing masks at the surgery is no longer required. However, we would encourage anyone who feels unwell, especially with fever, a cold, or a cough, to wear a mask. This helps to reduce the spread of infections to other patients in the waiting room as well as to our staff.
2-week embargo update:
We have been operating with the 2-wwek embargo since the new year. This has kept wait times down for routine appointments. It also helps patients have access to care with appointments being released twice a day, everyday.
We would ask that if you have an ongoing issue that has already been discussed, that you continue to see that GP so that you have continuity of care. If you have an urgent/acute issue then you may be added to the duty list and this may not be your usual GP.
In order to help further with availability and to ease booking appointments, please see below:
Appointments are opened 2 weeks in advance for all routine appointments with GP’s. Morning appointments are opened at 08:30am each morning, and afternoon appointments opened at 13:30pm.
For example if you called on Monday 13th April for a morning appointment, we would offer you an appointment for Monday 27th April from 08:30am. If you needed an afternoon appointment, you would need to call at 13:30pm instead.
